9.Megaphone Series w/ Chrome SlashMegaphoneP/N728-78054
10. Kerker Slip-Ons with Mikuni Core
P/N 128-78045
There is a brand new version of the SE specifically designed for the
2010 models. It has all of the great features of the SE series
but has been redesigned to produce that signature SE sound on the new
bikes. SE Series have been used by one of the world's largest
OEM's for years. They're the champion of numerous magazine
shootouts with a 10 - 12% horsepower gain. SE's are the king of
bottom-mid range torque with a steady, tough, low rumble and are only
3dB louder than stock.
A new Kerker Slip-On has also been developed specifically for the
2010 models. Although the majority of slip-ons in the market
today will fit the new bikes, their sound quality does not meet
customer expectations. The 2010 stock head pipes were
redesigned by the factory and we developed these new Kerker slip-ons
to produce that signature Kerker sound in conjunction with these new
factory head pipes. Kerker Slip-Ons have a proven 12 -
13% horsepower gains with great mid-high range power. Kerker
Slip-Ons are 8dB louder than stock with a profound, deep, throaty
rumble.
SE Series and Kerker Slip-Ons are compatible with 14 end caps,
including the brand new, Yaffe-designed Holy Moly end caps, to allow
riders the ultimate in personalization.
Riders will be thrilled to know that SuperTrapp's newly-released
FatShots Slip-Ons will also fit the 2010 models. These new
3.5" diameter, fully chrome plated muffler bodies flare out to a
4", slash cut end with a straight through 2" diameter,
pillow-pack wrapped performance core that is capped off with the
legendary SuperTrapp 4" discs and polished trim ring.
By adjusting the number of discs, these new FatShots Slip-Ons have
the ability to be the quietest performance muffler out there with a
richer stock level sound, but enhanced performance. It performs
better than stock in a sound compliant configuration. FatShots
Slip-Ons are neighborhood and stereo-friendly and pass the new SAE
J2825 sound test.
These Slip-Ons truly demonstrate the performance and customization
that a tunable exhaust has to offer. Adding 4" discs will
increase the horsepower, exhaust tone and flow. Subtracting 4"
discs will reduce the sound and increase low-end torque.
FatShots Slip-Ons come complete with twenty-four 4" discs and
all of the necessary hardware and mounting instructions, so you can
get back on the road in no time.
FatShots Slip-Ons are compatible with SuperTrapp True Duals for
Harley-Davidson '09 Baggers (P/N 168-71578, MSRP $429.00) as well as
SuperTrapp True Duals for '08 Baggers and earlier models going all
the way back to '85 (P/N 138-71574, MSRP $399.00).

SAE J2825 Sound Test And What It Means To You
The Society of
Automotive Engineers (SAE) International has produced a simple,
consistent and economical sound test standard that can be used to
determine whether a streetbike (on-highway motorcycle) exhaust system
emits excessive sound, the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA)
reports.
The J2825 "Measurement of Exhaust Sound Pressure Levels of
Stationary On-Highway Motorcycles," issued by the SAE in May,
establishes instrumentation, test site, test conditions, procedures,
measurements and
sound level limits. According to the SAE, the J2825 standard is based
on a comprehensive study of a wide variety of on-highway motorcycles.
"The motorcycling community and law enforcement have long sought
a practical field test for measuring street motorcycle exhaust
sound," said Ed Moreland, AMA vice president for government
relations. "Thanks to the hard work of the Motorcycle Industry
Council, and the SAE engineers involved in
the project, for the first time a simple field test is now available.
"The AMA maintains that few factors contribute more to
misunderstanding and prejudice against street riders than excessively
noisy motorcycles," Moreland continued. "With the new SAE
J2825 standard, street motorcyclists can now determine how quiet, or
loud, their bikes really are."
Moreland added that the new standard follows a template established
years ago with the SAE J1287 off-highway motorcycle sound test, a
standard recommended by the AMA wherever off-highway motorcycles are
operated.
The SAE J2825 on-highway motorcycle sound test procedure is similar
to the one used for the SAE J1287 off-highway motorcycle test. The
streetbike measurement requires holding a calibrated sound meter at a
45-degree angle 20 inches from the exhaust pipe of a running engine.
The procedure spells out how to do the test with the bike at idle, at
a predetermined engine speed ("Set RPM Test"), or by slowly
increasing the engine speed of
the bike, known as the "Swept RPM Test."
The SAE J2825 standard, prepared by the SAE Motorcycle Technical
Steering Committee, recommends a decibel limit of 92 dBA at idle for
all machines or -- using the Set RPM or Swept RPM Test -- 100 dBA for
three- or four-cylinder machines, and 96 dBA for bikes with fewer
than three or more than four cylinders.
"The J2825 test allows jurisdictions around the nation,
struggling with complaints about excessive motorcycle sound, to set
reasonable limits in accordance with the SAE standard," said
Moreland.

SuperTrapp
WaveTech Exhausts Available for Sport Compact Imports
WaveTech exhausts
(MSRP starts at $125.00) are designed for four and six cylinder sport
compact imports. They're available in both an 8" length
and a 14" length. Both lengths are available in a
2.25" or 2.50" inlet diameter.
The polished T-304 stainless steel body comes with a polished
stainless steel closed end cap. Optional end caps are also
available in four color options, including polished aluminum TrappCap
end caps.
SuperTrapp's WaveTech exhausts are equipped with a perforated,
stainless steel core.
These exhausts are completely tunable. The removal of 4"
discs decreases the exhaust opening and increases back
pressure. This decreases the power band to create more low-end
torque. It also decreases exhaust tone and enriches
carburation. By going the other way and adding 4" discs,
the exhaust outlet increases and back pressure decreases, widening
the power band at the top end. It also increases exhaust tone
and leans out carburation.

Dealer Exhaust Display Program
We have an exciting offer for dealers
effective immediately! We recently launched
a "Dealer Exhaust Display Program" to help
increase dealership sales.
SuperTrapp will give dealers a 30% discount
off of their already discounted dealer
pricing on all SuperTrapp exhausts and
accompanying end caps used for display.
What does that mean for dealers? It means having the most
cutting edge designs and performance enhancing exhausts displayed on
dealers' showroom floor bikes or on the exhaust wall behind the Parts
Counter. After all, customers are visual. They want to know
what the pipes will look and sound like on their bike. Now
dealers can show them and boost their sales while doing so.
All we ask in return is that dealers take a high resolution picture
or two and e-mail them to SuperTrapp at Marketing@SuperTrapp.com with a brief testimonial of which
exhaust was ordered, what the customer feedback was and how
displaying SuperTrapp exhausts helped increase dealership
sales. We will then plug your dealership on our website,
Pipeline and you could possibly end up in our 2010 catalog.
We encourage dealers to order their exhaust, get it on the bike, take
some pictures and watch the sales roll in!
And don't forget to let us know when you're hosting an Open House, or
any event. We'll send you a Rally Pack filled with banners,
catalogs, decals and SuperTrapp swag to raffle off.
Don't wait! Contact us at Marketing@SuperTrapp.com or 216-265-8400 to place your order
today!
