SuperTrapp was one of the earliest flat track race sponsors and our "signature" Megaphone Series mufflers have stood the test of time. Years of flat track racing and testing have proven the success of the technology the Megaphone Series were designed with. Therefore, it was second nature for SuperTrapp to be one of the first U.S. exhaust manufacturers to develop a race inspired exhaust system with XR flare for the new Harley-Davidson XR 1200.

Harley-Davidson released the bike in the U.S. market at the beginning of December 2008. Just 30 days later, we launched our XR 1200 at lightning speed, but without any sacrifice to performance or styling details.

We pride ourselves on the extensive engineering and testing that goes into each product and the resources to execute a finished product to the public in a timely fashion.

The SuperTrapp XR 1200 Megaphone System (Part # 815-71210, MSRP $985.00) is a brushed stainless steel, tunable, 2 into 2 system. It includes 2 - 20 disc packs.

Adding 4" discs allows the rider to increase horsepower, exhaust tone and flow. Subtracting 4" discs allows the rider to reduce sound and increase low-end torque.

SuperTrapp lightened the load for XR 1200 riders by reducing the weight of the exhaust by more than half compared to the stock exhaust. The stock exhaust weighs a whopping 36 lbs. and our XR 1200 system weighs in at a modest 15 lbs.

The new XR 1200 system by SuperTrapp sounds as great as it performs. A 10% horsepower and torque gain (when tested with 16 discs) through the mid power range and a heavy rumbled thunder sound compliment the sporty and aggressive look of the bike.

SuperTrapp True Duals for Harley-Davidson '09 Baggers (P/N 168-71578, MSRP $429.00) are the newest addition to our exhaust family.

The design of these new head pipes is unlike anything else out there on the market today. SuperTrapp True Duals raised the bar for the standard of attractive pipes, breaking the mold of the "cookie cutter" true duals that are already out there. They feature full length 2 ¼" heat shields that protect the pipes and keep the rider and passenger's legs cool.

SuperTrapp True Duals give riders the option of adding either the SuperTrapp SE Series Kerker, or FatShots Slip-Ons to the end of their True Dual head pipes.

SuperTrapp SE Series Slip-Ons are the champion of numerous magazine shootouts with a proven 10 - 12% hp gain. SE's are The King of bottom-mid range torque, with a steady, tough, low rumbled sound. SE Slip-Ons are less than 3dB louder than stock and have a completely rebuildable core and packing.

Kerker Slip-Ons provide a louder and heavier rumbled sounding Slip-On. Kerker Slip-Ons are commonly known for their 12 - 13% horsepower gain with great mid-high range power. Kerkers are 8dB louder than stock with a profound, deep, throaty rumble. A Mikuni Core is available for peak performance and ultimate flow. A rebuildable core and packing keep the Kerker Slip-On maintenance at a minimum.

In addition to SuperTrapp True Duals for '09 Baggers, we also launched True Duals for '85 - '08 Baggers (P/N 168-71574, MSRP $399.00).

SuperTrapp True Duals come complete with hardware and mounting instructions allowing riders to be on the road in no time.

The already famous SuperTrapp FatShots Slip-Ons are now available for '95 - '09 Harley-Davidson Baggers (P/N 728-71576, MSRP $499.00).

After nearly a year in development, SuperTrapp's new FatShots Slip-Ons are going to set the standard for adjustable performance. These new 3.5" diameter, fully chrome plated muffler bodies flare out to a 4", slash cut end with a straight through 2" diameter, pillow-pack wrapped performance core that is capped off with the legendary SuperTrapp 4" discs and polished trim ring.

By adjusting the number of discs, these new FatShots Slip-Ons have the ability to be the quietest performance muffler out there with a richer stock level sound, but enhanced performance. It performs better than stock in a sound compliant configuration. FatShots Slip-Ons are neighborhood and stereo-friendly at 83dB while idle (6 discs per muffler SAE J1287).

If you want to kick it up a notch, installing the recommended 12 discs per muffler in conjunction with its straight through 2" diameter performance core sets the stage for maximum power. In this configuration, FatShots Slip-Ons provide a 15% horsepower gain and a 12% torque gain over stock, proving, your exhaust does not have to be loud to make power.

These Slip-Ons truly demonstrate the performance and customization that a tunable exhaust has to offer. Adding 4" discs will increase the horsepower, exhaust tone and flow. Subtracting 4" discs will reduce the sound and increase low-end torque.

FatShots Slip-Ons are compatible with SuperTrapp True Duals for Harley-Davidson '09 Baggers (P/N 168-71578, MSRP $429.00) as well as SuperTrapp True Duals for '08 Baggers and earlier models going all the way back to '85 (P/N 138-71574, MSRP $399.00).

SuperTrapp partnered up with Rob Hassay's ProTour to grow our reach at numerous motorcycle events and rallies throughout 2009. Riders and show attendees can see all SuperTrapp and Kerker exhausts up close, get their questions answered by Jeff Wells, Sales Manager for SuperTrapp and have their new SuperTrapp or Kerker exhaust installed right on site at the ProTour display.
